these pics are long overdue (sorry). so here is the insolite wallet i had exchanged from the LV t&b complice wallet i had orginally bought (remember?). t&b complice wallet was too slender for what i stash inside. then i saw reviews on the insolite wallet on tPF & thought that'd be perfect for me. when i saw the insolite wallet in person at LV boutique, i fell head over heels in love with it! it was perfect, or so i thought at time..

there are 2 sides to insolite wallet: zippered for coins, loose paperwork or ca$h..

other side has 2 hidden snap closures; 1 inside zip; 2 compartments for receipts, ca$h; can hold a passport & boarding pass as well; holds 12 cc's

fits nice & light in my bag - plus the interior of wallet pops out w/color. ♥ that!

so why is the LV insolite wallet a lemon? well i've noticed the cc slots have really stretched out, so when i unsnap the wallet, my cc's slide out. also, the 3 zippers they placed for "style" really isn't functional for me & 2 zippers get in the way. kind of wish they used their regular hardware zipper pulls they always use. the red leather zippers are just annoying to deal with-and grip to open.

unfortunately for me i'm stuck with it because i've passed the amount of days to return/exchange. so i've placed myself on a no wallet purchase ban for the next 5 yrs, ok maybe 2 yrs, to not make this purchase a waste? i just can't justify buying another wallet when i feel like i've wasted hard earned ca$h on this piece of insolite that turned out to be a lemon.

your bday is only once a year, so rule of thumb is: spoil yourself rotten, just once a year (in order not to feel too guilty about whichever handbag purchase).

remember my bday splurge at Louis Vuitton, Palo Alto at Stanford back in august?! at 1st, my then new WHITE mulTicolor (mc) speedy 30 was kinda stiff, but i'm happy to report she's finally broken in. yaAY! mc speedy is more soft & flexible somehow.

one of the reasons why the purse forum is genius is because it's a place where women all over can take their own pics & post it on forum threads so others can figure out if we really like the bag/accessory before we head to boutique to purchase!
i mean, if we're about to spend over $2k on 1 bag, of course we must make sure the bag is worth it, right?
before my bday splurge, i did massive research on tPF & gawking at other pics really helped my decision between bags i'd debated on.

so i got back from vaca a couple weeks back & although i was sad that i couldn't use my ultimate sunshine bag: my louis vuitton multicolor speedy 30, while traveling the entire trip, i used my other most favorite (for now) bag: rebecca minkoff morning after bag in black basketweave.
