so the other day i'd gone to one of my favorite places: paper-source. as i walked around the crafting table, i'd noticed this really cool home made card featuring two stamps with the letter "K", and a pretty daisy. stamps were two colors, pink & blue. cardstock was a salmon pink. i was flabbergasted by how the stamps looked like they overlayed eachother. hey, it was new to me!! workers were busy, the place got too crowded, i started feeling completely overwhelmed so i left. didn't get to ask anyone how it was done. :(
a few days later, i decided i needed to know how it was done, and low and behold. i had no idea paper-source had a BLOG! how cool!! more creative inspiration :D
so here's what i found, yay!!
this is how it's done (pictures are not my images - but borrowed from paper-source site to provide quick visuals).
Materials Needed:
1. Stamp(s) of choice
2. Two or more Rubber Stamp Ink Colors
3. Tracing paper (you can get a bundle of 200 sheets at Target/Walmart/Michael's for $1.95)
4. Scissors
*Note* Image directly below is what it should look like (and please know these are NOT my own pics - they are from paper-source.com's blog of how to's):
Step 1: Stamp your first stamp with 1st ink color.
Step 2: Without restamping in ink (to save ink), restamp same stamp on overlay/tracing paper.
Step 3: Cut around the overlay/tracing paper as closely as you can possible to mimick the stamp image on paper. See pic below.
Step 4: Position overlay where you want. See pic below. And re-stamp using 2nd ink color.
Step 5: remove overlay.
And VOILA, see first image!!
(here's another stamp mask using different colors and a different stamp, also found on paper-source's brilliant site) :D i'd love to see how some of yours turned out! i'll post pics of the projects i complete in future, when my cam is replaced (hopefully SOON!)
